Shawn Khan, PA
Shawn is a native of Phoenix, AZ and graduated from Arizona State University with a degree in Microbiology and Biological Sciences. His passion for medicine led him to complete a rigorous Master of Arts in Biomedical Science program at Midwestern University, which laid the foundation for his acceptance into the prestigious Physician Assistant program at Emory University.
Before joining our Otolaryngology team, Shawn established his career in Emergency Medicine, gaining invaluable experience in Emergency Medical Services over a span of seven years. Today, he stands as a board-certified Physician Assistant by the NCCPA and holds a license from the Virginia Board of Medicine.
Shawn’s dedication to patient education is unwavering. He takes pride in simplifying complex ENT topics for patients and tailoring individualized treatment plans to meet their unique needs. In his role as a PA-C, he is able to perform initial work ups, order and interpret labs, perform minor procedures, formulate treatment plans, and recommend surgical intervention all while working under the expert supervision of Dr. Ipakchi and Dr. Cheng.
When Shawn is not working in the clinic and spending the time to improve patients’ lives, he enjoys spending his time with his wife Jessica, a registered nurse. Together, they enjoy traveling, weightlifting, yoga, and attending live concerts.
